This Digital Photo Community was established to offer free help, advice, and knowledge about digital photography. Feel free to peruse the articles as well as the forum. If you have a question please visit the forum and ask it. You may be given a quick answer, or your inquiry might just show up as an article in a day or two.

This community was launched on February 12th, 2007 by the administrator and owner of this site (me): Stephen Bair. I have been anxious to start a community site for a few years now. I have authored some Photoshop tutorials and Epson printing tutorials in the past, and I know that they have been received well by those who have used them. For a long time I have wanted to update those tutorials and possibly make more as my knowledge has increased and I have come up with some pretty handy and unique tips and tricks.

One thing that has held me back, however, has been the labor involved in making loads of new pages. For that reason I have been looking for a good content management system for a while. That way new pages are generated automatically and use a prescribed template. Then I was introduced to this system, Expression Engine, and I am liking what I see so far.

More about the administrator: I live in Salt Lake City, Utah. I own a utah wedding photography business called Bair Photography. I have also worked for many years at a fine art giclee printer (giclee is also known as the inkjet process) called Bair Art Editions, which is owened by my father.

I am almost done (after 7 years) with my communication degree from the University of Utah. So let us hope that the training I have received there has learned me right done good and I will be able to effectively share my knowledge of Digital Photography.
